Based at Garnavilla, Cahir, our container unit has expanded rapidly in the last 5 years and now produces up to 1 million plants annually, including herbaceous plants, shrubs, hedging, 10 Litre potted trees and specimen plants. The unit includes 20,000m² of polytunnels and 100,000m² of outdoor beds.
We grow a wide range of shrubs and herbaceous plants in pot sizes from 1 to 5 Litre supplying to both garden centres and landscape projects. Top quality young plants are sourced from specialist propagators and are potted on into 1,2 or 3 Litre pots for the first year on the nursery. Some are then potted on to 5 Litre pots to produce larger plants with instant impact.
Our 10 Litre tree range is particularly popular for the garden centre market as the trees are grown to a size which is easy to handle and transport. We now offer almost 100 varieties, most of which are grown in our own fields for 2 years and are then transferred into 10 litre pots and grown for a further year on the container unit.
